Always Relax
Sunglasses make your view more comfortable—so light you forget you’re wearing them, and so natural you forget the lenses are even there.
Lightweight materials
The defining characteristic of FLOAT frames is that they "envelop" the head rather than simply resting on it. They gently hold the head, ensuring a secure fit that resists slipping while remaining comfortable and pain-free, even during prolonged wear. The temples are crafted from a special resin that combines the durability of metal with lightweight flexibility. This seamless, hinge-free construction creates a sensation of lightness—as if the glasses are floating. This reduced weight minimizes the physical burden of wearing them, allowing you to focus more fully on your activities.
Polarized(偏光レンズ)
Naked eye
Polarized lens
Lens Spec
紫外線は皮膚だけでなく眼にも影響を与え、活動後の眼精疲労だけでなく、後の眼病につながります。FLOAT OUTDOORでは、すべての商品において紫外線カット率99.9%のレンズを採用。

Design for asian
Addressing common complaints such as discomfort or pain in the ears and head, FLOAT set out to create frames that perfectly fit the Asian facial structure. These sunglasses feature a design that blends naturally with the face and remains comfortable even during prolonged wear—crafted to be easily worn in any setting. Winner of the 2025 Good Design Award.
Neck-hanging function
Holding your sunglasses around your neck when not in use helps prevent sweat and oils from your head from getting onto the precious lenses.
When sunglasses are perched on top of a hat, it is easy to forget they are there and lose them, or to snag them on a tree branch and drop them. The neck-hold feature—which eliminates the hassle of finding a place to put them down—proves surprisingly useful, especially when moving frequently between sun and shade or taking a break.
Easily interchangeable temples
Thanks to a unique joint system (Lock Temple), the front frame and temples can be easily attached and detached without the need for tools. The screw-free design ensures a structure that is highly resistant to loosening or mechanical failure. This mechanism also allows for features such as adding extra front frames or customizing the eyewear to suit your personal preferences.
Magnet function
FLOAT features embedded magnets that allow the temples to snap shut. By attaching the included base magnet to a mirror in your entryway or wardrobe, you can easily access your sunglasses and put them on whenever you like.
End hole function
You can attach a strap or a floater to the temple ends. *Please note that a strap is not included; however, as the frames feature a built-in neck-holding function, you may use your own strap if desired.

What is UV(Ultraviolet Radiation)?
How much do you know about UV radiation? UV rays are invisible to the human eye. While UV radiation is often seen as something harmful, it is not entirely bad.The key is to understand it correctly and have the right knowledge.Benefit 1UV rays can reduce bacterial growth by damaging the DNA of microorganisms. This is why drying laundry in the sun is effective.Benefit 2Moderate exposure to sunlight (UV rays) helps regulate calcium balance in the human body and enables the production of vitamin D, which strengthens bones. It also supports the formation of healthy bones and teeth.Benefit3Exposure to sunlight (UV rays) stimulates the release of serotonin, often called the “happiness hormone.”Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that helps regulate and stabilize our emotions. This is why sunny days tend to make us feel better. In this way, moderate exposure to UV rays can actually be beneficial to our health. However, what happens when we are exposed to excessive UV radiation? Let’s take a closer look next. In mountainous areas, UV levels increase by about 10% for every 1,000 meters of elevation gain. At 2,000 meters, UV exposure rises to approximately 120%, and at around 3,000 meters, it reaches about 130% compared to sea level. Near the ocean or rivers, UV rays reflect off the water surface, adding an additional 10–20% to ground-level UV exposure. Furthermore, fresh snow on a clear day can reflect up to 80% of UV radiation, significantly increasing the risk of eye damage such as photokeratitis and cataracts.“The eyes are exposed human organs.” In mountainous areas, UV levels increase by about 10% for every 1,000 meters of elevation gain. Behind the Development
Thank you for visiting the FLOAT website. What kind of image do you have of reading glasses? Many people tend to have a less positive impression of them. When we spoke with people who were actually struggling with it, we were surprised to find how many felt that “reading glasses look uncool” or that they felt embarrassed for others to know they needed them.Show more
