FLOAT began with innovative reading glasses and was developed around three core values:
never lose them, never tire, and always grow attached.
Designed in Sabae, Fukui—Japan’s renowned eyewear city—these glasses are crafted to fit the facial structure of Asian users.
With our original hinge-less resin temples, they are incredibly lightweight and remain comfortable even after long hours of wear.
We offer everything from polarized sunglasses to reading glasses, working to deliver clear vision to every generation.

HISTORYBehind the Development
FLOAT originally started with reading glasses.
Because the frame and temples can be easily connected and removed, the glasses allow interchangeable styling.
In addition, extending the temple arms to improve stability also led to an innovative benefit — the glasses can be worn around the neck when not in use.
The goal was to create reading glasses that you can grow attached to — easy to use, comfortable even for long hours of wear, and hard to lose.
The name “FLOAT” was inspired by its light, floating-like fit and the way the glasses appear to float when placed on the base magnet designed to help prevent them from being lost.
